The name of this event is Nutrition-Health Critical Essay for University Student Competition

(NUCLEOUS COMPETITION).

 EVENT THEME

 “Nutrition and Health: Translating Science in the Practice”.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

This  event  is  a  critical  thinking  essay  in  English competition  based  on  students’  analysis, interpretation  and  evaluation activity.  The competitionispurposed togeneratethecriticaland constructive  idea  of  student  about  nutrition  and health   policies and   programs,   based   on   latest sciencesand technologies.The     essays     will     be assessed bycompetent evaluators.

Targets

Undergraduate   students   or   diploma   students   of nutritionand health (majoring nutrition, medicine, nursing, midwifery, public health and food science). The participantsmust be individualandaged18-25 years old.

Requirement of  NUCLEOUS COMPETITION (NC):

1. Participant of NC are current students who are confirmed as undergraduate or diploma student of nutrition and health course (majoring in nutrition, medicine, nursing, midwifery, public health and food science);
2. Participants are only 1 person for each paper;
3. Participant’s age is 18-25 years old;
4. Participants should register through online HERE;
5. Essay is written originally (free from plagiarism), not adaptations, has not been included in similar competition and was never published in any media before. Committee will not tolerate the kind of plagiarism;
6. Each participant must send short Curriculum Vitae (CV), 3×4 size color photograph, Copy of student identity, and signed the originality form (Certficate can be downloaded HERE);
7. The five best essay will be awarded as below:
1. Rp 4.000.000,00 + sertificate + thropy
2. Rp 3.000.000,00 + sertificate + thropy
3. III.Rp 2.000.000,00 + sertificate + thropy
4. Rp.1.000.000,00 + sertificate + thropy
5. Rp 500.000,00 + sertificate + thropy
8. Participant must submit the essay according to the theme chosen in English;

9. Online registration close on 31^st August 2014;
10.  The committee has to publish the essay on website nutritionfairipb.com, pergizi.org, himagizi.lk.ipb.ac.id, and danonenutrindo.org. The essays that do not havethe opportunity to be winners, but meet the terms and conditions, will also be published.

 Terms and Condition of Essay Writing:

1. Original (has not been submitted in any competition);
2. Written in English; Times New Roman size 12, with 1.5 line spacing. Size of paper is A-4/ quarto, left margin 4 cm, right margin 3 cm, top margin 3 cm, and bottom margin 3 cm;
3. Outline of the essay consists of subtheme code, title, author, university name, email address, phone number, abstract, introduction (background/problems and goals), materials and methods, discussion and result (subject matter, facts, and the critical solution), conclusions and suggestions, references;
4. Abstract consist of maximum 250 words, using Times New Roman font 11 and line spacing 1;
5. Maximum number of page is 5 pageswith the systematics as follows:
1. Abstract
   Abstractincludes definition of issue or problems which describes specifically. It also can include some opinion or world view of topics and some resume.
2. Introduction
   Writer can introduce topics with tesis, based on the issues and purposes of the study. Tesis has to be written in specific word and clearly.
3. Materials and Methods
4. Authors can describe some materials and methods that is used for study. Informations should be gathered from valid references e.g books, journal, scientific article, etc.
5. Discussion based on critical analysis, interpretation, and evaluation  using scientific references and writer ideas.
6. References
   References are structured by name and year system. It is listed in alphabetical order of the author’s name, year, paper title, and source. Only references cited in the essay are listed in the references.

 SUBMISSION

1. Essay is submitted in form of soft file and sent to committee email (nucleouscompetitionnf@gmail.com);
2. Deadline of essays submission is on August 31, 2014;
3. Announcement of the winners is on October 25, 2014 through the website nutritionfairipb.com, sms and email;
4. Award ceremony will be held on November 1, 2014 at Graha Widya Wisuda, Bogor Agricultural University
